From Inspiration to Reality

Welcome to our “Wedding March” series.  Since we both were married in the past year, we wanted to post things that we learned and tips and advice we wish we had heard along the way before it all disappears from our minds, hence “Wedding March.”
Also, make sure to check out our other wedding posts here, here, here, here, and here.
Mine and JJ’s wedding was less then a year ago, but it was pre-Pinterest days for me, so I went super old school and made an inspiration board of all the pictures I loved, our save the date, our invitation, and sample swatches of our linens.  This board was our wedding calling card of what we wanted the look and feel of our big day to be …

… And … here is how it turned out!  We were honored to be featured on the Betsy White blog, Flights of Fancy, and not only on their website but also in the fabulous Style Me Pretty Best of 2011 Magazine!

Our theme was “MY WHOLE HEART FOR MY WHOLE LIFE” which I made into tags backed in antique poetry paper and tied around the invitations with divine twine.  And we wanted to “brand” our wedding with a familiar symbol, so we found a fabulous Betsy White logo that we carried through out the event.  We had the logo printed on the stamps we used on our save the dates, used the logo on our invitations, programs, menus, cake, photo booth, napkins, to-go boxes, favors, and I even had a stamp made of it and stamped it on little muslin bags which were filled with rose petals and passed out to each guest before the ceremony to toss in the air after the “I do’s.”
Make sure to stay tuned for more of our “Wedding March” series including DIY tutorials, vendor guides, makeup tips, great advice, and much more for your big day!
