Into The Wild…

…Animal Park!  It’s hard to transition to Fall when it’s still 80 degrees outside, so don’t force it…it will come.  And until then, enjoy the prolonged Summer for as long as it’s here.

One of the most famous places to visit in San Diego is the San Diego Zoo…but did you know that if you go just a little bit farther east they have a Safari Park?

The Safari Park is an expansive wildlife sanctuary that is home to more than 2,600 animals. Its renowned botanical collection represents 3,500 species and 1.5 million specimens. Over half of the Park’s 1,800 acres have been set aside as protected native species habitat.

Walking around is absolutely beautiful, and you can take a tram through their safari area and see all the animals in as close to their natural habitat as you can without going to Africa.

…or you can try to blend in…
…or find a spot to hide away in the gardens for a little while.
