OK! I confess! I am NOT a gym person. I’m just not. Growing up as a dancer and a gymnast (I use both the words “dancer” and “gymnast” lightly, because I would not call myself either today, but I did do them both for a considerable amount of time.) I understand and gravitate toward classes. I never needed to workout because I was dancing 5 days a week. Now, as an adult, gyms still turn into a stagnant routine that yields little results, but I’m not in the dance studio anymore, and I need to workout.
ClassPass recently launched in San Diego, and asked Jess and I if we were interested in a one month trial, and we said YES! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this program. It’s perfect for me!
What’s ClassPass you ask? Great question! The idea is this, instead of a gym membership, you buy a ClassPass, where you can take classes from a ton of different studios as often as you want. This way you can still do yoga, but mix it up with Barre, Pilotes, Boxing, you name it! I got to try so many things I hadn’t even thought about and kick my butt big time by introducing it to new forms of exercise. (Title Boxing’s Power Hour was particularly butt kicking…thanks guys.)
I can’t recommend this enough. If you have the time to go to the classes, it’s a great deal, and so easy to use. You just download the app, choose a class that’s near you, and make a reservation. You can search by type, or time, of the class.
ClassPass is also in NYC, Boston, San Francisco, LA, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Seattle, so don’t feel left out if you’re not San Diego based.
So, go get fit! There’s no excuse!
