Mint Julep Bar

Whether you are toasting the Kentucky Derby or looking for a refreshing spring cocktail, a mint julep is an excellent choice.  Put together a simple mint julep bar like this one Jess worked on with Evite.

For a simple bar, set out a tray of glasses (mint juleps are typically served in silver cups) and all the ingredients you need.  For an extra measure, try using decorative straws and festive drink stirrers.

To make a mint julep you just need a few key ingredients.

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/2 ounces simple syrup
  • 3 fresh mint leaves
  • Crushed ice
Muddle fresh mint on the bottle of your cup.  In the same cup, pour in crushed ice, bourbon, and simple syrup.  Garnish with mint leaf.
